I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut who currently works with clients who experience symptoms of stress due to life changes/trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, career difficulties, obsessive tendencies, as well as difficulties with attention (ADHD). I work with individuals, couples, families, and I also facilitate groups for teens and adults.
My therapy style depends mainly on what works best for you. I hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelors Degree in Research Psychology, a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am a Doctoral Candidate in Human Development and Family Sciences. I am familiar with Cognitive Behavioral, Symbolic-Experiential, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems therapy, as well as various other techniques, but honestly the most important aspect of my skill and training involves listening to what you want to gain from our journey.
I absolutely love being a Therapist! I take pride in my work, and I feel that every therapeutic relationship is unique. That being said, I encourage every client to understand that meeting a new therapist is like trying on a new pair of shoes: Some may fit, whereas some may not, and others may need extra time and attention. But, you as the client should be given the opportunity to decide what fits best for you!
In addition to being a Therapist, I am married with 5 children.
Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy are all services offered through our Practice. As a Family Systems Practitioner, my goal is to understand the Family as a whole to identify difficulties that may exist. Feel free to contact me to learn more about my practice!
Group therapy is an important aspect of any Practice. The group setting is a non-judgmental environment where individuals can work through their lived experiences with their peers. Two important benefits of a well-facilitated group therapy experience include learning (or being reminded) that you're not alone, and witnessing how others manage their own stress.
In addition to my years of experience working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, I am also actively involved in research. As a doctoral student at the University of Connecticut, my research focus included the mental health and well-being of sexual and gender minority youth. I have published multiple peer-reviewed papers on gender id

With training in Family Systems Theory as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am knowledgable of systemic approaches for improving and streamlining the interpersonal aspects of small business practices within group settings. I am available for professional and clinical trainings, motivational speaking, and LGBTQ+ affirmative workshops.
